Yet Samatavilasa would not, in actual fact does not, encourage us to look alike on these opposites constitutive of our mortal being as long as we fight a desperate fight against our inevitable and destined fate, fate the mortal; a stern discipline we have to undergo before we can even think of samata, sameness, not to speak of living it. For, not before dying unto himself can a man look alike on these dualities, the stuff our mortal life and being are made of. Mere theoretical deconstruction of these opposites will not do; he must live the uncertainty that he is as a [no-] being placed between these opposites, between the given condition and the transcendental urge in us, between the past and the present, between oneself and one's other, between life and death. And to accept and live this his unhappy condition, he has to have the humility to become mere passive witness of these ever recurring deadly tensions and conflicts within him, to stand apart from these as if these latter were mere events happening before him and not in him. He has to, in other words, cease to be the doer, accepting all the uncertainty that goes with his being as a mortal, as a creature uncertainly placed between the two poles of birth and death. But not before dying before his actual death can he have the patience, the patience all passive, to live his mortality and be his mortality, undoing thereby both birth and death and what lies between the two, his so called life.

Excellent book for understanding spirituality

Mahatma Mangatram was a completely enlightened spiritual master. He was born in November 1903 and passed away in February 1954.
He is well known in India and there are many ashrams in India. He has very good literature in Hindi. This book is translation of his Hindi book named Samta Prakash. This book is full of spiritual gems. The translation is done by Somraj Gupta, a lecturer in English in Delhi University.

First, it begins with basic fundamentals, which allows the reader to solve new problems with new technology. Second, the book presents many detailed design examples. These examples illustrate the process of design. There are multiple structural components that assist learning. Checkpoints, with answers in the back, are short easy to answer questions providing immediate feedback while reading. Simple homework, with answers to the odd questions on the web, provides more detailed learning opportunities. The book includes an index and a glossary so that information can be searched. The most important learning experiences in a class like this are of course the laboratories. Each chapter has suggested lab assignments. More detailed lab descriptions are available on the web. About the Author
Jonathan Valvano has been teaching microcontrollers and embedded systems at the University of Texas at Austin for 33 years. This is his fourth college textbook. His previous three textbooks on the Freescale 9S12 have been used at over 18 universities around the world. He earned his BS and MS from MIT in 1977 in the fields of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering. In 1981, he received his PhD from Harvard-MIT in the field of biomedical engineering. He has over 100 journal papers, 9 book chapters and 10 patents in the medical device research area. He is a cofounder of a successful medical device company, specializing in miniature and low-power cardiac measurements. The reason he has received numerous teaching awards at the University of Texas is because he and his students share a common interest at the very core of the education process: the students’ own success. “It is difficult to find a professor that tries harder to educate and inspire his students than Professor Valvano” – Robin Tsang. Valvano lives by this motto, “There are three steps to immortality: acknowledge your limitations, ask for forgiveness, and then do something special today to make the world a better place.”

A good introduction to this new family of microcontrollers. Looking forward to reading additional books on the subject from Dr. Valvano and other authors as these processors get more widely adopted.

So much more useful than I imagined it would be! SO GLAD I purchased this book!!!

I was reluctant to purchase this book because I was so set in the month-by-month structure that the prior "What to Expect" books were broken down in, but it's so true that at this point, every baby blossoms differently and goes through things at a different pace. So it is EXTREMELY nice to have everything broken down by topic category instead for super easy reference. I'm not even kidding, I flipped it open to the middle of the book as soon as I got it and BAM! I instantly found an answer to one of the burning questions I've been wondering about. That right there was when I had my epiphany that this book really is exactly what I needed in my life at this point. It's so nice to just flip through and read up on different topics and I still get the same reassurance that I always have gotten out of reading these awesome books. I'm SO GLAD I made the decision to go ahead and buy it!! Even with the internet at our fingertips, there is no comparison to being able to sit down and read through a book full of up to date knowledgeable information, tips and tricks. I kept hearing "Oh you don't need those books" but fortunately I decided to give them a try anyway. I'm so glad I did! They are the best!!

I think that it's brilliant, actually

Some others complain how the book isn't organized by months but by topics; I think that it's brilliant, actually. Since children all develop on different timelines, I think organizing by topic is the only way to for parents to quickly navigate the book to find the answers for which they are looking. However, most of what's in the book I have already read a dozen times online and didn't have any new information. Sure, I would still recommend it to first time parents, but it still isn't the Holy Grail like What to Expect the First Year.

Like others, I think that the organization is lacking, so finding exactly what you're looking for can be a lot more difficult than with the first year book.

Janice Carlson's Soul Sensing book covers a lot of ground, including the science behind this medium of communication. She also covers chakras, intuition, dreams, and pendulums to name a few. Additionally, the examples from her sessions with people cover and explain so much. There is no other book out there like this! Not only is this great information but Janice is a good Writer as well and makes the reading easy to understand, interesting, and enjoyable. You'll want to buy it for yourself And your friends.

LOVE THIS BOOK ! It's hard to put down. You find yourself saying "yeah, that's happend to me"! She explains the steps to help you understand and communicate with the deseased that is SO understandable, you won't find yourself lost and give up before you even begin, as what happens with so many other books. I plan on reading this again and marking pages and highlighting areas. I knew you could communicate with humans, but was taken back by her ability to reach our deseased pets as well.(with a phone-Medium session with Janice) I've been waiting for a long time for the book to come out and it exceeded my expections by a mile. A MUST buy if you want to learn to communicate with your deceased love ones.

By the time they called me, a whole week had passed since the second body had been discovered. About the Author
Enrique Laso was just eight years old when he started writing, and when he finished his first long story, of around 50 pages, entitled "Roca". Since then, he has written around 30 novels, books of poetry, and collections of short stories, of which only a handful have ever seen the light of day. He has won numerous literary competitions throughout his extensive literary career. For personal reasons, he did not write for almost ten years, until in 2005, when he revived his passion, and since then he has dedicated himself to it whole-heartedly.Laso also used many pseudonyms to publish his work, in various genres. The only one that he has revealed to date, however, is 'Henry Osal', which he uses when publishing books on self-help. Altogether, his works are now available in 12 different languages, and have sold around 300,000 copies throughout the world.

Enrique Laso was born in Badajoz, the capital of the Province of Badajoz in the autonomous community of Extremadura, Spain, situated close to the Portuguese border, on the left bank of the river Guadiana, in 1972. Although professionally he has always been linked to the world of marketing and communication, literature is his true passion. He began writing in his teens and in 1994 won the Murcia youth national prize for his poetry collection 'Lost children'. In 2005 he published the short novel 'from hell', adapted to film in 2014. He has published several novels under pseudonyms, the only one revealed by the author is Henry Osal who has signed several self-help manuals. 'The sound of the dead' is the novel with which he has had more success. It has sold more than 250,000 books and has been translated into 12 languages. He has won numerous literary competitions throughout his extensive literary career. For personal reasons, he did not write for almost ten years, until in 2005, when he revived his passion, and since then he has dedicated himself to writing whole-heartedly.

Enrique knows his way around mystery thrillers and of interest this Spanish author has placed his current story in the heartland of the American Midwest. He opens his story with a rather gruesome setting: `By the time they called me, a whole week had passed since the second body had been discovered. We meet Ethan Bush, and FBI agent, haunted by the fear that his initial success with the FBI may not be reproducible and that he may be destined to fail. But he is assigned a cold case - in addition to the two cyanotic girls mentioned earlier, there is Sharon Nichols who was not exactly killed yesterday. Her lifeless body appeared in the same place as the other two unfortunates, but in 1998, that is ... almost 17 years ago. It was a case that went unsolved and was eventually shelved, like many others. This is the reason we needed you. We fear that we are facing a serial murderer who has returned to the area ... Who can tell how many victims he might have claimed during the last nearly twenty years!'

Crime Thriller that Won't Disappoint

This book is a strong crime thriller, but it isn’t unique enough to stand out against other books in this genre. I finished it, though, because it is against my moral code and personal sanity to put down a mystery book without finishing it.

The plot follows an almost pattern-like story of Ethan Bush , an FBI agent whose team is brought to the Midwest to solve a mystery involving a serial killer. While the Midwest aspects add a unique factor (this isn’t Law & Order: SVU in a cosmopolitan city), there really wasn’t that much else to differentiate it from another book. Ethan is a dynamic protagonist, and I was glad to follow him throughout the book.

The narration is very vivid and I could picture scenes as if it were on television, which speaks highly of the author’s writing ability. I would recommend it to people who are looking for a crime thriller and don’t really have any pressing needs or expectations, but for the seasoned reader of this genre, I would caution that it may not be the most memorable book. It is definitely entertaining and intriguing though! So it is a very well-written book, just not exceptional.

Very well written, a bit on the predictable side....

Alright so I'm a crime genre fan. I love a good thriller. I cant put these types of stories down. I definitely enjoyed this book but I will be honest when I say that it follows a very predictable pattern. Having said that, it doesn't make the book any less enjoyable. I kind of chalked it up to the fact that I've read so many of these types of books.

So, to the point, in The Blue Crimes, we meet Ethan Bush, an essential member of an FBI team brought in to help find a serial killer. Ethan is a strong willed, intelligent agent with very high standards for himself based on his initial tenure with the FBI and the success he garnered. The entire thing has a real CSI/ Law & Order type of feel.

The author,Enrique Laso is extremely descriptive, which I always find helpful when I'm getting into a new book. The book is well written for sure. The only thing I took issue with was that it was very predictable. It almost seems to follow a pattern, which I see other reviewers have picked up on. For me, I didn't take a way from the story line and you're bound to run into similar plot lines every once in a while.

Overall, I enjoyed this book and as long as you're not expecting some Earth shattering revelation this book is a great read.
